Free notes are easy to find on Telegram and Google Drive. Here is an honest look at where they help, where they fall short, and what to check.
Paper Predict Notes · 27 Jun 2026
Search for notes for any exam and you will find hundreds of free PDFs. Some are good. Many are not. Here is how to think about them.
Where free PDFs can help
- Quick reference for a single topic.
- A second explanation when you are stuck.
- Formula lists or short summaries made by teachers.
Where they often fall short
Unknown syllabus year
Many free PDFs were made years ago. Chapters may have been removed from the syllabus since, and new topics may be missing.
Errors and gaps
Free notes are rarely checked. A wrong fact in a diagram or a missing exception can cost marks.
Mixed sources
Many free PDFs are pages collected from different places, with different handwriting and structures. That makes revision slower.
No exam focus
Most free notes explain topics but do not show which lines are asked most often, or place PYQs beside the topic.
The time cost
The biggest hidden cost is time: searching, comparing, and checking free notes against the textbook. In a board or entrance year, that time is valuable.
Revise this faster: NEET PCB Complete Notes — handwritten, colour-coded notes with points often asked, PYQs and tricks in every chapter.

Frequently asked questions
Are free notes always bad?
No. Some are excellent. The problem is that you cannot easily tell which ones are accurate and current.
Can I use both?
Yes. Use one main set for revision and free material only for extra explanation.
The short version
Free PDFs can help with single topics, but often have an unknown syllabus year, errors, mixed sources and no exam focus. A consistent, current, exam-focused set saves time. Compare with the free sample chapter before deciding.
